Rural Development
ReConnect Grant
Furnishes loans and grants to provide funds for the costs of construction, improvement, or acquisition of facilities and equipment needed to provide broadband service in eligible rural area.
Community Connect Grant
This competitive program helps rural communities use advanced telecommunications technology to connect to each other - and the world - overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density.
Distance Learning and Telemedicine
This competitive program helps rural communities use advanced telecommunications technology to connect to each other - and the world - overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density.
Rural Broadband Grant/Loan
Provides funds for the costs of construction, improvement, or acquisition of facilities and equipment needed to provide service at the broadband lending speed in eligible rural area.
Community Facilities Grant
Provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. An essential community facility is defined as a facility that provides an essential service to the local community for the orderly development of the community in a primarily rural area, and does not include private, commercial or business undertaking.
Cybersecurity
State & Local Cybersecurity Grant Program
Helps eligible entities address cybersecurity risks and threats to information systems owned or operated by, or on behalf of governments.

Broadband Readiness Plan
Up to $50K for counties and $70k for regions to write a broadband readiness plan.

Economic Recovery Plan
Up to $50K to write a plan emphasizing economic recovery, development, and community engagement with programming that will help to revitalize the surrounding neighborhoods and attract tourists and outside businesses.

Prioritized outline of at least three (3) implementation options for downtown revitalization. Populations over 2,000 are limited to $40,000, and Populations under 2,000 are limited to $30,000

Be future-focused (5 to 10 years) and take into consideration the foreseeable needs of the community.
Identify tools that can be used to attract businesses to the community.

FCCF Discretionary Grant
Grants needing approval outside of the normal grant cycle. The Executive Director has discretion to approve requests up to $300. Requests of $301 to $1000 need approval of the Executive Committee. Requests of $1001 to $2000 need full Board approval.

Junior Grants are awarded throughout the year on a first come, first served basis until all funds for the current year have been allotted.
Organizations may receive no more than 2 Junior Grants per year totaling $500 or less. The maximum request on an application is $500. Special consideration will be given to youth oriented projects and programs.

Rising Sun Ohio County Community Foundation Conference/Training
Grants are awarded throughout the year on a first come, first served basis until all funds for the current year have been allotted. Organizations may receive no more than 2 Conference/Training Grants per year totaling $300 or less.
The maximum request on an application is $150. An organization cannot receive two grants to attend the same conference Grants will be considered only for non-profit organizations whose conference/training program will benefit the residents of Ohio County.

OCCF Rising Sun Rising Sun Regional Foundation

Ripley County Community Foundation
Hillenbrand announced a commitment of $200,000 to the community through the establishment of a new fund, the Hillenbrand Innovation Fund. The fund will distribute a total of $200,000 back into the Batesville community over the next four years at $50,000 per year. Organizations with missions and programs that align with Hillenbrand’s four key areas of impact, can seek grants which range from $2,500 to $10,000.

Blue River Community Foundation
Hometown and Community Grant Each fund serves one of the four corners, or quadrants, of Shelby County by generating grants that will benefit projects or organizations serving the residents of each fund’s designated area. The grants awarded from these funds are able to support almost any charitable project or organization that serves the residents of each fund’s area.

Leadership Grant
Specifically cover fees for staff and volunteers to attend conferences, workshops and webinars or to bring in facilitators for board/staff retreats. Hotel accommodations may also be covered, but food or travel expenses will not be covered.
Requests can be up to $1,500 per organization per calendar year. Jan. 1- Dec. 1, 2024 or until funding is depleted.
Ogle Foundation
The Paul Ogle Foundation historically gives higher grant funding priority towards the following types of projects and programs that fall under our foundation’s mission, vision and strategic focus: Capital improvement and renovation projects Equipment and technology Programmatic or event-related expenditures Planning, management or technical assistance
Some limited, one-time program sponsorships Projects deemed as “Special Projects of Interest” as determined by the current grantmaking priorities of the Foundation Board and its staff. You must have your grant application request approved before applying.
